I received this email message few days back --
Yes! I'm now "Platinum"! That means, I get double points and elite status in all my stays. Last night was my first night of stay as a Platinum member in Holiday Inn. So, I had a cup of coffee and newspaper delivered to my room -- awww...soo nice! Plus -- it's so heart-warming to see your name posted in the front lobby under the "Platinum" category.
If only Ramada has a ladder system of membership, I should have Triple Platinum by now. As a flashback, I stayed in Ramada for several months (which is the main reason why I was able to buy PS3 in Feb -- by using my hotel points to get a gift card from Circuit City). But because of this very bad experience with them (they just lost my very important package from Dubai -- where I had to call the hotel manager from his home!!!), I decided to transfer to Holiday Inn last July.
I became a Gold member after just 1 week (I think)...which didn't excite me at all. But this one, oh definitely!
I'm excited for my double (sometimes triple) points! Woohoo!!!
Well, I'm thinking of using my points for a free stay in Hotel Intercon with my family when I get home to Philippines... in shallah!
